That’s some pretty heavy graffiti. People do always seem to find a way to get their voice out there.
Yeah, it was heavy. We’ve found it really interesting that just about every country we’ve been to has had some intelligent, political/social/environmental motivated graffiti with a true message behind it. Obviously, the political and social climates in Egypt are extreme right now, but we’ve seen this over and over again (albeit to a lesser extent) in our travels. It’s certainly not the random swear words or name tags we usually see on walls and railway cars at home.
One could see it as the difference between making noise because tehre’s something to be said and making noise for the sake of making noise…
